At WJW we are providing a series of fun workshops for children – an engaging and interactive series designed to empower your child with essential Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) concepts that will help foster emotional well-being and self-regulation.
In these workshops children will explore how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected. Through age-appropriate games, crafts, role play, and discussion, your child will grasp some basic CBT principles which will enable valuable insights into their internal mental processes, thus building a foundation for effective emotional regulation.
One of the highlights of our workshop is the opportunity for your child to create their own “Calm Box” tool – a wonderful resource that children can utilize when emotions run high. This tool is a personalized collection of sensory and mindfulness items carefully chosen to help kids ground themselves during moments of distress. With practice, the Calm Box can become an important tool for emotional exploration and expression.
