I work with Adults, children, youth and their and families.
I have supported adults children, youth and their families navigating challenges of anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, trauma, abuse, and more. Working together, I strive to empower individuals and families to recognize and work towards goals that better their lives by adding meaning and giving purposeful direction. As a parent of children that have benefited from accessing mental health supports to overcome difficulties, I enjoy the process of working side-by-side with family members to create lasting change.
I work from a client-centered, attachment-based and Trauma based approaches that focuses on the individual and their relationships with others, their environment, and themselves. I work from a number of different therapeutic approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness-based practices such as Poly-Vagal therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, solution-focused approaches, self-compassion, and play-based interventions. I have experience in facilitating psycho-educational and therapeutic groups for children, youth, and caregivers to serve clients as part of a collective that offers a different approach than that of individual counseling.
Every person deserves to be heard, respected, and feel a connection that they can carry into their everyday lives and the larger community. I work to create an environment that is warm and safe for each individual to foster their growth and progress.
